Your input matters!
The City of Niagara Falls is developing an Action Plan to better support unhoused and vulnerable residents. We want your ideas to help create more coordinated, compassionate, and effective solutions. Your feedback will guide recommendations to City Council in 2026 and help shape how we respond to homelessness and related challenges in our city.
Project Background
At the City Council meeting on October 7, 2025, Mayor Diodati called for an Action Plan to find better ways to support unhoused and vulnerable residents.
Current municipal focus includes:- Cleanup & maintenance
- Public safety & security
- Reactive measures rather than proactive support
Goal of the project: Create a coordinated Action Plan outlining an overarching mission, and to focus and streamline current resources to create efficiencies, and a practical approach to support unhoused and vulnerable people in our community.
We know there’s a better way forward, and we want to hear from you.
Share your suggestions on how to address:
- Homelessness
- Hunger
- Drug use in public spaces
- Illegal activity
- Disrespectful behaviour in public places
You can also suggest ways to improve service delivery and coordination to better support vulnerable residents.
