- Time: 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

If you plan on attending, please register in the form below. Thank you!
An Owner Occupied Short-Term Rental is not a Vacation Rental Unit. Similar to the way an owner-occupied Bed and Breakfast operates, an Owner Occupied Short-Term Rental would be a home that is partially rented out on a short-term basis where the Owner is required to be present on-site. However, breakfast is not provided. Similar to an owner-occupied Bed and Breakfast, an Owner Occupied Short-Term Rental would be required to operate under the following conditions:
- The owner must be present on site while it is being rented.
- Requirement to have a License from the City of Niagara Falls.
- Maximum permitted rental of 28 consecutive days.
- Additional parking must be provided on-site.
The City already permits Bed and Breakfasts in residential areas throughout the City. The proposed changes would also allow Owner Occupied Short-Term Rentals in residential areas. The Public Open House will provide background information and an opportunity to provide your comments on the issue.

The Statutory Public Meeting required by the Planning Act with City Council will be held at a later date. Separate notice of that meeting will be provided in the newspaper after the Public Open House and approximately thirty (30) days before the Public Meeting is to occur.
