Detailed Design Completed

The City of Niagara Falls and WSP Canada have completed the detailed design for the replacement of approximately 325m of sanitary sewers on Harvard Avenue and Brian Crescent. The project will also include the replacement of sanitary service laterals and copper water services from the main line to the property boundary. A new road base including hot mix asphalt will be installed following the completion of the underground work.

The limits of the proposed sewer replacements will be as follows:
  • Harvard Avenue from Wiltshire Boulevard to Approximately McGill Street
  • Brian Crescent (North Leg) from Harvard Avenue to Approximately 85m East
  • Brian Crescent (South Leg) from Harvard Avenue to Approximately 55m East
The project will be open for a public tendering period from June 13th to 27th. A recommendation for the award of the project to the lowest bidder will be brought to City Council for approval on July 11th. The targeted start of construction will be early-to-mid August 2017, subject to the City receiving all required Ministry approvals.
