A new park plan is in the works!
The City of Niagara Falls is excited to share plans to develop Emily Neighbourhood Park at the corner of Emily Boulevard and Garner Road. This brand-new park is designed to serve the growing residential area surrounding it. Construction will begin in Fall 2025, with completion expected by late Spring 2026.
This new park is being developed as part of the City's Parkland Dedication Strategy, ensuring new neighbourhoods have access to high-quality green space and recreational amenities. City Council has approved a budget of $595,000 for this project as part of the 2025 Capital Budget.
What’s planned for Emily Neighbourhood Park?
The conceptual design for the park includes a variety of features to meet the recreational and relaxation needs of residents of all ages and abilities:
- Accessible playground and activity area with artificial turf surfacing
- Asphalt-paved pathways for walking, wheeling, and easy access
- Hard surface multi-purpose play court (great for basketball, ball hockey, and more)
- Single pickleball play court
- Seating areas with park benches and picnic tables
- Shade tree plantings for comfort and environmental benefit
- Landscaping features to enhance the park’s beauty and usability
Please note: This is a Conceptual Design Plan for the park. Final plans may be adjusted for development based on public input and budget considerations.
