Help shape the future of EE Mitchelson Park

The City of Niagara Falls is excited to engage with our community as we plan the future of EE Mitchelson Park! As part of upcoming improvements, we’re planning exciting upgrades—and we want to hear what you’d like to see in two key areas of the park! Following the recent demolition of the pool, we see this as an opportunity to create a vibrant space that meets the needs and wishes of our residents.

Your input is invaluable in shaping the park's redevelopment. This is your chance to share your ideas and preferences for new features. Staff will report to the Niagara Falls City Council with the engagement results, and the next steps will be dependent on the approval of the 2026 Capital Budget.

What's already planned for the park

The following features are confirmed and will be included in the updated park:

  • Shade Pavilion – a comfortable spot with seating to cool off, relax, and gather
  • Improved Parking Area – with accessible spaces, new lights, curbs and trails to the park
  • Upgraded Washrooms – located near the playground
  • Accessible Swing – to promote inclusive play (approved and funded in the 2025 Budget)
