On Monday March 4, 2024, the City of Niagara Falls and Hemson Consulting Ltd. will be hosting a Second Development Industry Meeting. This meeting is to provide additional information to Development Industry Stakeholders regarding the update of the City’s Development Charges By-Law currently underway. The first Development Industry meeting was held on November 1, 2023. Draft rates for the proposed Development Charges will be presented to City Council on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. The Development Industry Meeting on March 4, 2024, is an opportunity to hear from industry stakeholders and provide an opportunity for questions to be asked. The DC Background Study will be released publicly at the end of March, with the Statutory Public Meeting held at the end of April. Staff anticipates By-Law passage by the end of May.
