Update: November 2017

24 April 2019

A 2nd Public Meeting on the new Cultural Hub & Farmers' Market was held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the Niagara Falls History Museum with 50 people in attendance. At the meeting, consultant Megan Torza (dtah) reported back on what we have heard from the public in response to the initial development options presented in the 1st Public Meeting (see below) and through the Site Plan Option Survey. Ms. Torza stated that the general public consensus was that some combination of Options 1 and 2 was seen as most desirable, and provided more detailed commentary on refinements suggested in the areas of site, buildings, architecture and landscaping. Based on this feedback, a hybrid final concept (Niagara Falls Exchange) was presented in detail with site perspectives, floor plans and views, and various modes of operation for several of the spaces.
The architectural firm for DTAH is currently working diligently to complete the detailed design of our new Cultural Hub and Farmers' Market. Next steps will be undertaking the Business and Operating Plans for the facility.
